Any communication, no matter how fleeting (IM, VoIP, etc), is subject to to Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPPA and now e-discovery- which means it has to be logged. I am a fan of Second Life, but in terms of publicly traded companies I am not sure how they could be compliant given the various errr....security holes. I do agree with out. Alot could be accomplished by burning power point and moving to twitter and breaking down silos with avatars.
