onXiam - getting closer to a universal digital identity

If you read my blog you know I’m infatuated with digital identity construction. One of the best techniques to establishing a strong and useful digital identity is to be consistent with your “name” everywhere you go so people can recognize you. There have been a few attempts to do this with Trillian, ClaimID, and others. The newest player in the game is onXiam. OnXiam allows you to list all of your identities in various applications in one place so people can find you at Flickr, delicious, SecondLife, utube and lots of others. Go check it out. As far as I can see, the only application it’s missing is Xfire.

Cyrus - Yes, LinkedIn is a site that is available. I have noticed however that sometimes people’s links to their homepages on LinkedIn don’t seem to work. For instance, onXiam users 2sheds, beth, and christydena all have LinkedIn identities listed, and the links to their respective homepages do work.

However, onXiam users hball and lennp have links to LinkedIn that are failing. Since I am not a LinkedIn user myself, I haven’t yet researched why this would be.

Now if you were referring to onXiam being down when you tried to connect…sorry! That was me. I promoted a bad page and it took me a while to track that down. It’s all fixed now. My apologies!
